12 Tesla LTQ-FT Ultra
12 Tesla LTQ-FT Ultra (a.k.a. Blade)
This in-house modified system from Thermo Fisher is an integrated hybrid mass spectrometer consisting of a Velos Pro dual pressure quadrupole linear ion trap combined with a Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Mass Spectrometer. The instrument delivers ultra-high resolution (~1.7 million at m/z 400) accurate mass (< 1PPM), and high dynamic mass range. The upgraded front-end to Velos Pro affords the system faster scan speeds and higher sensitivity.
Orbitrap Fusion™ Lumos™ Tribrid™ Mass Spectrometer (aka Carrie).
The most advanced Orbitrap-based mass spectrometer, the Orbitrap Fusion™ Lumos™ features a segmented quadrupole mass filter, an ultra-high field Orbitrap™ mass analyzer, and a linear ion trap for versatile characterization of intact proteoforms via multiple ion activations. These includes: higher-energy collisional dissociation (HCD), collision-induced dissociation (CID), higher-capacity electron transfer dissociation (ETD HD), and 213 nm ultraviolet photodissociation (UVPD). Additionally, the advanced peak determination (APD) algorithm improves the speed of both bottom-up and top-down proteomics experiments.
TSQ Quantiva™ Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (aka Fargo)
The Thermo Scientific™ TSQ Quantiva™ Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer uses active ion management to exceed even the most stringent analytical requirements with superb sensitivity, speed, and dynamic range, enabling the need for ever-lower limits of detection and quantitation.
Thermo TSQ Quantum Ultra
Thermo TSQ Quantum Ultra (aka Moonraker)
This extremely robust triple quadrupole mass spectrometer has been routinely used in our laboratory for many years. Great sensitivity and resolution coupled with reliability and signal stability allows us to use this instrument in analyses which require extremely long sample collection time. Our Quantum Ultra is coupled to a Dionex Ultimate 3000 RSLCNano LC system for high-resolution and reproducible separations.
Q Exactive™ Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer
Q Exactive™ Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer (a.k.a. Quicksilver)
The Q Exactive™ system combines quadruple precursor ion selection with high-resolution, accurate-mass (HRAM) Orbitrap detection to deliver exceptional performance and versatility. The Q Exactive Mass Spectrometer is equally useful for untargeted or targeted screening and a broad range of qualitative and quantitative metabolomics and proteomics applications.
Q Exactive HF
Q Exactive™ HF Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap™ Mass Spectrometer (aka Serenity)
The Q Exactive HF system combines a state-of-the-art segmented quadrupole for high-performance precursor ion selection with a high-resolution, accurate-mass (HR/AM) ultra-high-field Orbitrap mass analyzer to deliver a superior combination of scan speed, resolving power, mass accuracy, spectral quality and sensitivity. Identify, quantify and confirm in a single analysis with a single instrument with the Q Exactive HF mass spectrometer.
Time-of-Flight incorporated Q Exactive
The newest addition to our instrumentation arsenal, Tarzan, is a Time-of-Flight (TOF) mass spectrometer utilized to analyze higher mass and lower charged native complexes. This state of the art newly developed instrument in conjunction with ThermoFisher Scientific features a TOF mass analyzer coupled to a C-Trap and HCD cell. This setup promotes higher mass resolution top-down proteomic analysis via multiple ion activation and ion isolation capabilities to further elucidate structural proteomics.
This newly-developed, non-commercial instrument is currently under development phases for optimization and application testing.
Linear Trap Quadropole (LTQ) Orbitrap Velos Mass Spectrometry
LTQ Orbitrap Velos (aka "Wall-E")
LTQ Orbitrap Velos is a hybrid mass spectrometer incorporating the LTQ Velos™ dual cell linear trap and the Orbitrap™ analyzer. The LTQ Orbitrap is a high performance LC-MS and MSn system, combining rapid LTQ ion trap data acquisition with high mass accuracy Orbitrap mass analysis.
